There are some arguments "against" young people's chatting online.=有些論點「反對」年青人線上聊天。

There are some arguments "in favor of" young people's chatting online.=有些論點「讚成」年青人線上聊天。(argument用複數)

I am not sure if online chatting is suitable for young people.=我不確定線上聊天是否適合年青人。

An argument is a statement or set of statements that you use in order to try to convince people that your opinion about something is correct.

An argument is a discussion or debate in which a number of people put forward different or opposing opinions.

An argument is a conversation in which people disagree with each other angrily or noisily.

If you accept something without argument, you do not question it or disagree with it.

In linguistics, "collocation" is the way that some words occur regularly whenever another word is used.所以我們要注意字與字的搭配有其固定方式。

此外,People are men, women, and children. The word is normally used as the plural of "person," instead of "persons."你的意思是這樣嗎?範圍有這麼大嗎?與其相對應的是指什麼呢?

"The people" is sometimes used to refer to ordinary men and women, in contrast to the government or the upper classes.即the people =「平民百姓」或「庶民」。

The argument that poverty is a blessing has often been put forward.(名詞子句當同位語:單數對單數)

The argument that smoking is injurious has become accepted.

From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English.

having the right qualities for a particular person, purpose, or situation.

    suitable for somebody/something

The house is not really suitable for a large family.

In everyday English, people usually say that someone or something is the right person or thing for them, instead of using suitable:

We think this is the right school for our child.

    Longman以上的意思,suitable通常是用於特殊族群,查Internet的確”suit for people”通常後面還會接上with、of、who、to等補充敘述
