1. It is up to you what you want to do.
2. There will be 2 different ways (depending what you will do at #1 above):
a. Going to the Police Station voluntarily
You will be interrogated by the police and formally arrested. You will be released on bail. Once the police has enough evidence, your case will be transferred to the magistrate's court for prosecution.
b. Not going to the Police Station
Once the police has enough evidence, the police will visit to your last known address (usually home) and formally arrested. You will be interrogated by the police and released on bail. Then your case will be transferred to the magistrate's court for prosecution.

1. There is nothing you can do.
Your letter to your employer is good enough to incriminate yourself.
Having a lawyer in your case will not significantly help you. Not having a lawyer will not significantly hurt you.
