type I and type2 error help!

1.If a researcher decided to use the.10 level rather than than the conventional .05 level of significance, what type of error is more likely to be made?

2.If the .01 level is used,what type of error of error is more likely?why?

    Level of significance is the preset probability of committing a type I error, that is to reject a null hypothesis when it is true.


    If a larger significance level is used, type I error is more likely to be made.


    If a smaller significance level is used, it is harder for you to reject a null hypothesis, then even if the null hypothesis is false, it is hard to reject it, so it is more likely to commit a type II error, which is not to reject the null hypothesis when it is false.
