KUB (縮寫) = Kidneys, Ureters, Bladder.

KUB refers to a diagnostic medical imaging technique of the abdomen.

Ureter ~ the tube that carries urine from the kidney to the bladder

radio-opacities (noun) = condition of being radiopague

radiopaque (adjective) = impenetrable to a form of radiation

The fundamental principle of all radiographic tests that employ x-rays is that different body tissues have a different capacity to block or absorb x-rays.

Phlebolith (noun) = a calcareous concretion in a vein

In this case, phleboliths, which form in the venous structures of the pelvis may be visible on X-ray.

A KUB X-ray may be performed to help diagnose the cause of abdominal pain, such as masses, perforations, or obstruction. A KUB X-ray may be taken to evaluate the urinary tract before other diagnostic procedures are performed. Basic information regarding the size, shape, and position of the kidneys, ureters, and bladder may be obtained with a KUB X-ray. The presence of calcifications (kidney stones) in the kidneys or ureters may be noted.

    Comment:

    檢查報告是給醫生看, 最安全可靠, 應該問醫生,

    醫生有病人 medical history, 和知道為什麼做這個檢查

    KUB = 腹部X光片 (腎,輸尿管,膀胱)

    腎陰影被部分遮蓋。

    有多個射線不透性的陰影在骨盆的兩側,有可能是靜脈結石。亦不能完全排除是輸尿管結石的可能。
