Unseen Poem Q&A plz...
Read the following poem carefully and answer ALL questions that follow.
Some Days by Billy Collins
Some days I put the people in their places at the table,
bend their legs at the knees,
if they come with that feature,
and fix them into the tiny wooden chairs.
All afternoon they face one another,
the man in the brown suit,
the woman in the blue dress,
perfectly motionless, perfectly behaved.
But other days, I am the one
who is lifted up by the ribs,
then lowered into the dining room of a dollhouse
to sit with the others at the long table.
but how would you like it
if you never knew from one day to the next
if you were going to spend it
striding1 around like a vivid2 god,
your shoulders in the clouds,
or sitting down there amidst3 the wallpaper,
staring straight ahead with your little plastic face?
a. Identify and explain one example of simile used in the poem.
b. Explain the contrast between stanza 1 and stanza 3.
c. Explain the meaning of the last 2 stanzas.

----Unseen Poem Q&A plz...
(a):-A simile compares sth to sth else, using like or as;eg:-The man in brown suit is like the woman in blue dress who look like motionless and like 2 wooden chairs.
eg:-You may striding around like God as if your shoulders are striding around clouds like God.
(b):-Stanza 1:-Active:-My service extends to people by ordering them to sit as arranged.
-----Stanza 3:-Passive:-Sometimes I am the silly one being ordered and arranged to sit among other wiser ones. This is the contrast between.
(c):-Stanza 4:-Active:-The view in front of you is ever changing. You never know one day from another. You even tend to ignore them actively. Then actively, you may striding around like God as if your shoulders are striding around clouds like God.
------Stanza 5:-Passive .You may be motionless in the room like a plastic, motionless body who can only look straight ! You're passively being put forward any motion !
