英文作文~English Writing: Letter of Advice (about 300words)

Situation: You are Mavis, you received the following letter from your cousin,

Rhoda, who is a year younger than you.

Dear Mavis,

Thank you for the lovely birthday card which reached me yesterday. How I

wish you could come to my party next week!

I feel awful these days, my dear cousin! Although my birthday is coming, I don't

seem to be in any mood for preparation or decoration. I don't know why but I

seem to be totally out of my mind. I can't sleep. Nor can I eat. When look at

myself in the mirror, I am no more than a bag of bones. I hate myself!

I used to get good results in the past but now I can't even finish my work

properly or on time. I have no energy or interest to do anything. I have asked

myself why but thinking about this is so tiring, so boring and so disheartening.

What's wrong with me? Dad and Mum must be very disappointed with me.

They used to praise me in front of their friends but now I believe I must be a

disgrace to them. My classmates are always looking at me and talking ill of me

as if I were a monster - they heart me the way they jeer at me! I hate them and I

hate myself!

Do you hate my too, Mavis? Please tell me what to do.

    Dear Rhonda,It is a genuine delight toreceive your lovely birthday card. Iwish you could come to my party next week.I had read your letter in avery meticulous manner, and I would like to provide you with a few pieces ofadvices. I am so heartbroken to learnthat you are going through tough times, but I strongly believe that a positiveattitude towards life is very essential to solve your problems. Since your mood have affected your regularlife to quite a large extent, I seriously think that you should divert yourattention to something else in order to relieve the depressed state you are incurrently. For example, keep yourselfactive by doing outdoor exercises. Exercising can enhance your physical health as well as your mentalhealth. I understand that you have noenergy in doing things, yet you have to engrave in your brain that exercisingis the key to improve your current condition. I also notice in your letter that you have a very low level of self-esteem,so you must encourage yourself by doing a good job in your academic work. Participating in different types ofactivities can help you to augment your self-confidence level. I personally do not think that there isanything wrong with you as everybody has ups and downs of their mood. That is pretty normal. Every parents love their children and you areof no exception, they will not be disappointed with you at all. If you feel that you are being neglected bythem, please open up yourself and have a discussion with them. I am sure that your parents are very proud ofyou. In regards to your classmates,please do not pay too much attention as to how the others view you. Just do your best and everything will befine. Do not be a worried wreck andsweat over little things.     Dear Rhoda,

    Glad to get your letter, Rhoda. If i am free next week i am sure that i will go to your birthday party. By the way you just told me what you think about other people, yourself, and your parents. Why dont you just calm down first, take a deep breath. First of all, you have to be more positive, that's not a big deal even your friends jeer at you. You must cheer up and believe yourself!! Every parents love their children, you will never be a disgrace of anyone. You should try to talk to them and ask them what they think.What you think of other people are all fake, you dont know what they are really talking about. Probably they care about you very much because you are their friend, you are one of them. Don't be too negative. Try to look at something from another point. Then you will have another view.Try to talk to your parents before you go to sleep, then you will feel better because you didn't hide any feelings. You must take care of yourself very well because no one have to do it except your parents.So you have to make a stable schedule, for example like when are you going to eat, what are you going to do at that time. Make something like that in your schedule, i think it will help a lot for you. At last, i don't hate you , no one hates you. And you have no reasons to hate yourself either. So cheer up, i know you can do it. We can't help you a lot because you are the one that who is playing in your own life game.Make a better life by yourself :)
