(1.)A cost-plus contract is a construction contract in which

the contractor is reimbursed for allowable or otherwise defined costs,

plus a percentage of these costs or a fixed fee.

- 請問第2行, or otherwise 點解, 是adverb嗎?

(2)Exchange difference is the difference resulting from translating

a given number of units of one currency to another currency

    Otherwise in this context means in other respects (在其他方面)

    the contractor is reimbursed for allowable or otherwise defined costs

    = the contractor is reimbursed for allowable costs or costs defined in some other ways

    Otherwise is an adverb.

    2. a given number of units of one currency

    Given means predetermined, or predefined.

    3. arm's length transaction

    = a commercial transaction done in accordance with market values, disregarding any connection such as common ownership of the companies involved

    Or other wise=adverb?

    (1)otherwise(adv)=is reimbursted=pay back the money they have spent.

    If the reimbursed money ,Or defined money were different=giving you a different amount=$N instead of $M.,

    You'll be reimbursted for another defined costs.

    (2)Given=adj.

    Means stated how much(=100:00)

    -----------arrangedd how much(=100:00)

    eg:-HK$100:00=RMB 82:06

    (3)Keep at arms length=to avoid having a close relationship with the buyer/seller. when cost and pay are clearly and fairly transacted.

    eg:-The transaction was against any fault.
