mental hospital ~ This word is no longer considered polite
asylum (old use), lunatic asylum (old use), insane asylum (old use), mental home, mental institution – All these words are considered offensive nowadays.

Calling a person a lunatic, the question itself reflects a very negative attitude towards people experiencing difficulty in their mental state
In the community,they just live in their homes, just like JD's and anyone else's home.

There is no special places to put these people together as in the sad past. If required, they live a living with programmes in and out of their living place supported by care givers.
