How to determine a cell whether it is a diploid or haploid cell from the number of chromosomes?(For example, cell P has 4 chromosomes, is it a diploid or haploid cell?

1.State how the mitotic cell division in animal cells is different from that in plant cells.

The difference is that mitotic cell division in animal cells is that in the division of cell membrane (cytokinesis) , the cell membrane is constriced inwards to divide two daughter cells. While in plant cells , the cell plate is pushed outwards

    2. state the difference between the cells in pollen sac of the flower and the cells in root tip.

cells in pollen sac of the flower is haploid cells. They are sex cells and they are produced in meiotic cell division

Cells in root tip is diploid cells, they are produced from mitotic cell division.

    3. How to determine a cell whether it is a diploid or haploid cell from the number of chromosomes?(For example, cell P has 4 chromosomes, is it a diploid or haploid cell?

Cell Q has 8 chromosomes, is it a diploid or haploid cell?)

I believe we can't determine whether it's a diploid or haploid cell just from the information you have provided. Where did you get the question ?

We can't just see the no. of chromosome to determine . There are some other criteria . For examlpe , do the cell have a pair of homologous chromosome? If there is, it is a diploid cell. If there isn't , it's a haploid cell.

For the human cell, if there are only 23 chromosome but not 23 pair of chromosome, it's a haploid cell.

But if it's given you that originally there is e.g 8 chromosome. But finally there is only 4 chromome , it's a haploid cell because the no . of chromosome become half of the original one. If there are still 8 chromosme at the end, it's a diploid cell
