When Hong Kong was under British rule, there was a government department called the Attorney General's Chambers. What did the people there do? Is there an equivalent in the post-British rule Hong Kong government?

Attorney General's Chambers is in fact Department of Justice nowadays.

Then of course Attorney General is the now Secretary of Justice.
