請問Semi-colon可以把3句或以上的complete sentences連接嗎?

The trees are green; the flowers are purple; the sky is blue.

不行的話,該如何把以上的3句連接起來(不用full stops)?

感恩! 請多多指教!

We use a semi-colon to separate independent clauses.

The trees are green; the flowers are purple; the sky is blue.

All these three sentences in colors are three separate independent clauses, so you are right to separate them with two semi-colon.

Note: an independent clause is a sentence which can stand alone as a complete sentence.

If you don't, we call it " comma -splice" in English grammar.

We also use them in list when the list you see contains conjunctions like" and".

    I bought so many toys: __ and __; ____ and ___;____ and ____.

There are two websites above. You may go there and learn how to use semi-colons.

    Good luck!

e.g: She questioned the effectiveness of the multiple vitamins; however, she took them anyway.

Semi-colons are also used to separate items in a complex series.

e.g: Guests included Mr Eric Tang, president of ABC Corp.; Ms Anna Wong, managing director of BCD company; on
