appreciated ........

Do the following 2 sentences have a identical meaning?

Is happy = appreciated?

I am happy with your result

I am appreciated with your result

I know that There is no fixed preposition for the word "appreciated"

....is the 2nd sentence correct?

    第一句簡單易明, 係無問題。

    I am happy with your result.

    我滿意你的成績/ 表現。

    但係第二句我就有所保留,appreciate 係動詞, 如果你查過字典,

    會發現它唔需要有preposition跟尾。

    另外, 佢有以下的解釋, 但係都似乎應用唔到在第二句例句。

    1) 欣賞,賞識

    Her talent for music was not appreciated. 她的音樂才能無人賞識。

    2) 感激

    They deeply appreciated their kindness. 他們對他的好意深表感謝。

    3) 體會,領會

    I am afraid that you have not appreciated the urgency of the matter. 恐怕你還沒有意識到這件事的緊迫性。

    4) 鑑別(例如藝術作品)

    由以上例子看到, 係「及物動詞」, 即直接連住 object,

    而不用有preposition.但係我就唔會將句子改成

    I appreciated his result. (因為好成績係個結果, 我會認為欣賞「你所付出的努力或心機/ 擁有的才能/…之類」 較貼切

    e.g. I appreciated your hard work. That’s why you got such a good result.

    我欣賞你非常努力。這正是你取得好成績的原因。

    唔會將句子改成

    I appreciate YOUR result. (改返appreciated 做 appreciate, 即是 present tense; 另外, his => your)

    e.g. I appreciate your hard work. ... (改返appreciated 做 appreciate, 即是 present tense)

    其實, 只要用「理解中文」的智慧就可以明白appreciate這一句的例句。

    我意思係話:

    「欣賞」別人有時可以係指欣賞「他們所付出的努力 」(即是 = 他們努力的過程) , 而「滿意」通常係指他們的「表現」(即是 = 結果)。

    補充 2) 感激

    They deeply appreciated their kindness.

    從這例子可見, 有時 appreciate可以指一個人所擁有的特質e.g. kindness (雖然從表面來看, kindness 並不是「所付出的東西」, 但是對方必定係做左D事先令我們感受到他的「仁慈」, 以致我們要感激他, 因為「仁慈」係由對方行為/ 待人處事的態度所反映出來的!)
