但做past paper 果時 見到solution 寫 pollen grain 只係 male gamete的 carrier .......

想知清楚 !!

pollen grain is not male gamete

after pollination,the pollen grain is transferred on the stigma

then,the sugary solution of stigma stimulate the pollen grain to produce enzyme

the cells of stigma is digested.

A pollen tube is developed from the pollen grain to the micropyle.

Only the male gamete will be transferred through the pollen tube,

and fertilize with the ovum in the ovary

the pollen grain remains on the stigma.

Therefore,maie gamete is only a part of pollen grain which is used to carry the male gamete.
