    1) want to do something

    如:somebody want to see you(有人想見你)

You want to tell him now, before it's too late.(趁著還未太遲,現在就應告訴他)

    2)want doing something

    如:your coat wants washing

The wine is in the fridge - it just wants cooling for a couple of minutes.(紅酒在冰箱裏──還需要冷卻幾分鍾)

I want to concentrate on(應用on不用at)是:我想專心於

    而I want concentrating on是:我需要專心於
