I am excelled in interpretation subjects. It benefits me a lot since I can study different kinds of topics such as court interpretation and some newspaper articles. I also did particularly well in the course Intermediate Putonghua, and learnt how to communicate with the Chinese and present myself in Putonghua fluently. The Language and Linguistics course also provided me some basic knowledge of the structure of Chinese and English and the function of language.

I have excellent interpretative capability. I benefit from such skill as I can read, digest, and explain to other people a wide array of materials ranging from court interpretations to news clips. I also performed satisfactorily in the course Intermediate Putonghua, which has granted me confidence to present myself and communicate fluently in Mandarin. I have also furthered refined my basic understanding in Chinese and English in terms of their structural and functional context through the course Language and Linguistics.
[Because you're applying for a language course, so I think you should develop a sensitivity to words like "subjects", "articles" because they can be linguistic jargons. During the editing I took them away.]
[Write tighter and try to increase variety of words used and sentence pattern.]
