AgCl 有covalent character?
我知係有但係用 electronegativity difference 黎explain定係用polarizability + polarizing power 黎explain? 2個都解得通... which one is correct?

用 electronegativity difference 黎explain未必可行.You should think about other examples such as NaCl and LiCl. Comparing them:
Both are group1 metals with only an unique different: Li is more polazing than Na due to its high charge density caused by its smaller cation.[Na has one more quantum shell and thus has a weaker effective nuclear charge. This explain why Na+ is not as polarizing as Li+]
Both have different electronegativities between Na(0.9) & Cl(3.0) [different = 2.1]and Li(1.0) & Cl(3.0) [different = 2.0] when using Pauling scale to determine their electronegativties between group 1 metals and halogens. However only polarizability + polarizing power 黎explain ,才能explain why NaCl are soluble in H2O and LiCl don't [LiCl only dissolves in alcohol] 及NaCl has ionic character more while LiCl has covalent character more.
Hence using polarizability + polarizing power 黎explainAgCl 有covalent character is more suitable.
