話會用40000買佢的車
但是Alan 一直都唔知
到咗10月30日先發現這封信
之後Christine 就看Alan 咁遲都唔回覆，以為佢唔買
在10月29日，就買咗另外一架車
那架車有沒有買到給Christine?

Christine wrote a letter to Alan to buy a car on 2 Oct. Under the postal rules, once the letter is posted (with prepaid stamp and proper address), acceptance is complete even if the letter is lost in the post and never reaches the offeror. So Alan should sell his car to Christine. Christine accept Alan's offer on next day, this is reasonable.
If the offer did not have any option (fixed period), there is no time limit has passed. it may be terminated after a reasonable length of time has passed. e.g. if the price of goods is fluctuating rapidly in a particular market, then a length of time may be only an hour or so.
However, In this case, It is not practically for the real situation as we will use T/T or phone to accept the offer rather than using the letter.
