what is the different between -answer- and -replay-
Can anyone tell me the different between answer and replay
I checked dictionary (English and Chinese). They have the almost the same meaning. Anyone can tell their different?
eg. Example to illustrate your point.
what senses they share

I think you are asking the difference between ANSWER and REPLY?
(instead of REPLAY)

作為名詞, reply的用法少answer很多, 只有回覆一意, 多數時候是以動詞出現。
而且通常和 to 一起出現

2. 不過有些情況下不能用reply
a) 應門 I answer the door.
b) 給反應 Please answer back, don’t just ignore me!
c) 對應人/物 It is said to be Eastern answer to Venice. (這被喻為東方的威尼斯)
d) 符合、滿足 The sofa answers our needs. He answers to your description.
e) 答案 The correct answer to the puzzle is…..
